I've accepted a Columnist position at X Culture Mag, headed up by my Net friend Sally Bishai.

The on-line magazine is aimed at a bilingual Egyptian-American audience, mostly for those living outside Egypt. Themes center around dating, modern life, Christian faith, and the difficulties in all.

My column will focus on modern manhood and issues to do with masculinity in this strangely gender-schizophrenic age we live in.

I will cross-link my columns to here for all my readers to stay abreast of my work on there.

We'll see how it goes! I'm quite excited about the position. Great first step and something substantial I can put on my writing CV.

I removed the link to my blog from my Facebook profile and removed the Wordbook application that publishes a news feed whenever I blog on here.

I've done this as I'm about to embark on writing a lot of letters, some of which I may post on here. Some of these letters will be addressed to girls who are on my Facebook profile, so I want to maintain some distance. I'm not writing these letters to get attention in any way from them. If you're reading this, you're most probably a regular reader and have this link saved.

These letters will be to resurrect and lay to rest with finality unresolved feelings for girls I've liked, loved, and pined for over the years. I want to write these letters because I want to free my heart of connections to these girls. And why? I've come into contact with someone recently who I think I want to pursue for marriage. And I don't want to pursue her with a fractured heart. I feel the greatest thing I can give her right now is myself freed of past baggage.
